Happy 9th Birthday to Our Ari Girlie!

For weeks, our girl has dreamed of spending her special day at Disneyland.  Last night, as we were making plans we checked the Disney website and found her birthday (today) is BLOCKED OUT!  How sad!  It was heartbreaking to give her the news.  Her little face drooped and she slowly walked away.


Isn't that how life is sometimes?  We have great dreams and aspirations that can be shot down in a a brief moment.

So what to do?

Create another plan.

I asked her to think on some other ideas while she was drifting off to sleep and we'd make them happen.

When she walked downstairs this morning she was greeted by this sign left by her dad.

She requested French Toast for breakfast (with juice from my couponing spree yesterday).

Looked what bloomed this morning!  I think this is God's reminder that He's thinking of us on this special day.
He always sends me flowers in special ways!

Next we'll head to Starbuck's for her annual Birthday Decaf Caramel Frappacino. Then to Justice to use a gift card remainder from Christmas.  Lastly, we'll head to the party store for balloons to take to her baseball game along with Rice Krispie Treats we'll make this afternoon.

It will be a full, fun-filled day!
